COVID-19 Information

The Innkeepers of our Association are glad to be welcoming visitors back to the Greater Ithaca area.  We have all been careful to take care of our guests and our properties since re-opening in summer of 2020 and it has yielded very good results in that guests, hosts and employees have remained safe and we have been able to enjoy each other and this fabulous area that we love to share with visitors.

We are continuing to take all precautions and we hope to meet YOU at one of our small privately owned and operated establishments.  As individually owned enterprises, different requirements may be expected at each property. Please be sure to check with your innkeeper regarding their expectations regarding current vaccination and masking expectations. We are all desiring safety of our guests, employees and selves, but there is quite a lot of variation in the ways you and others may express that desire, so let's all be good communicators and expect the best of each other.

The following reasons are why we consider that our establishments are great lodging choices for you to feel more comfortable in:

• As small lodging enterprises, we have limited traffic compared to corporate hotels in terms of guests.
• Our Individual properties have unique characteristics that you may prefer to hotels for safety reasons.
• Following protocols set by global, national, and local health authorities, we have heightened our already rigorous cleaning and disinfection procedures, and introduced supplemental preventative measures to guarantee the highest levels of hygiene and safety.  
• As hosts, we live in our inns, so we obviously have a high priority on keeping the accommodations clean and safe for guests as well as ourselves.
• Each innkeeper has their personal safety strategies concerning serving of coffee, breakfast, etc, please communicate regarding your own expectations
  
• Many of our properties have 5 or fewer guest rooms, all have private baths or baths shared only with your own traveling companions.
•  Some rooms/suites have private entrances for individual suites (Thomas Farm, Enfield Manor, Tenwood Lodge, Mary Hunt House, Grayhaven Motel)
• Alternatively our self-contained Vacation Rentals are an excellent choice for couples, families and people traveling in small groups, providing more privacy as well as the option to eat in, using fully-equipped kitchens.  As of Nov 13, limits to occupancy are 10 people in the larger homes.
• One of our newest member properties, the Grayhaven Motel, begins its 4rth season under the transformative new ownership of an energetic, enthusiastic couple. The minimalistic mid-century vibe features clean, spacious rooms with private entrances and several accommodations include full kitchens, including 2 with adjoining living rooms. This is not a B&B, but you can enjoy the opportunity to purchases wine & beer onsite.
